Jacques Britt
Being unique and standing out from the crowd have been the guiding principles of the German fashion brand Jacques Britt for over 40 years. The family business produces first-class shirts for the discerning businessman, as well as blouses and accessories. Expertise in manufacturing and a strong commitment to tradition and stylish elegance have been the values of the company since 1969 and are also essential attributes for a successful international brand presence.
In the footsteps of a German fashion giant
In 1919, the entrepreneur Walter Seidensticker opened a clothing company in Bielefeld. From the beginning, the focus was on the production of men's shirts. Even in the 1920s, the company focused on automated assembly line production and expanded into other European countries. In 1957, the first non-iron shirt was released by the brand. In the 60s, they continued to develop and improve under the company's own "Black Rose" quality seal. In 1969, Jacques Britt Internationale Moden GmbH was founded by Gerd Seidensticker in the second generation of the family. The Seidensticker Group is now present in 80 countries worldwide – its product portfolio includes four own brands and seven licensed brands.
Delivering excellent quality, fit and innovative materials at a moderate price point: that is the claim of the Bielefeld shirt tailors. The new men's collections feature countless different shapes and cuts, as well as collar styles – from classically elegant to casually playful. Checked, striped, unicolored, or strewn with multi-colored flowers – the made-to-measure shirt collection offers a huge range for every style and every age. Elegant touches of color such as brightly colored pocket squares, scarves and stylish cufflinks complete the wide range.
Jacques Britt – the brand with the zebra logo is a breath of fresh air in the fashion world
90 years of singular success in shirt making have been recognized with an award. In 2004, the group of companies was awarded the title "Superbrand Deutschland" in the fashion and accessories category. And the success continues to spur on the development of ever more sophisticated collections with exceptional comfort. This can also be seen in the latest image campaign. The attention-grabbing brand logo is a small stylized zebra. Through this symbolism, Jacques Britt tells a story of freedom, originality, style and individuality. These are terms that also apply to the timelessly elegant and extremely versatile fashion from the made-to-measure shirt specialist. The Bielefeld label is constantly striving for improvement with an inexhaustible pioneering spirit.
